"A people who don't make provision for their own sick and suffering are not worthy of civilization." - Dr. Daniel Hale Williams
We believe our health is the most important factor in getting our community on the correct path. Without our health, - wealth and family cannot follow. The state of black health is continuously failing. We have higher risks of high blood pressure and diabetes than any other racial group in the United States. This leads to higher rates of early death from heart attacks and strokes. We have to make the effort to exercise daily, eat better, and make an active investment in our health. This section is designed to give us insight, tips, knowledge, and actions to achieve this goal.
What we as black people are choosing to eat, is contributing to our early deaths. The life expectancy of blacks is about 4 years shorter than that of whites in this country. This may not seem like a lot, but it is.
