Sometimes we have more items on our plate than we can reasonably manage. This can quickly lead to being overwhelmed, and ironically we may be more likely to procrastinate when we can least afford to. Think of it as our brain refusing to cooperate with a schedule that is unreasonable. If this is the case, the message is that we need to stop, reassess our time and priorities, and start to simplify.
If we find ourselves procrastinating because our schedule is overwhelming us, we should immediately try reducing our schedule if possible. First, we should review what's on our plate, then we should cut out as much of the non essential items as possible. Cut everything that isn't truly important. Since our goal is to increase our health, gain wealth and be active members of our family unit, we should cut anything that doesn't coincide with those goals. People cut things like exercise while leaving plenty of time for TV, even though exercise invigorates us, while TV drains us. When we cut items, we must be honest about removing the most worthless ones first, and retain those that provide real value.
When we feel overwhelmed - it's time to re-access what it is we have on our plate.
